Lyrics

The Descent Begins

The sun suffocates. Outside seems too big and I'm wondering if my madness will persist.

(And he waited for death)

(And he waited for death)

(And he waited for death)

The thought of facing the sunlight once again fills me with dread. I'm not too sure if I can handle much more than this. I was never gifted with patience; I hope this day ends soon.

Black Tar

Life has lost its color, lost its appeal. I highlight everything in gray. Absorb the chemicals... The world has color again. My blood runs red, and I can feel the sting, and I can taste the warmth... feel it on my skin. And the world is here for me.

I feel connected, have a purpose, and the void disappears. I can test the waters once again, I'm a star, and we are all on stage. Freedom on our tongues, we dance. Tastes so sweet. I don't wanna let this go. I don't wanna let this go.

This helps me to forget.
This helps me to live.
This helps me to cope.
This helps me to die.

I will die.

The Ward

The Nurse gives me a pill, smiles and walks away.
"The Doctor will be with you shortly."
"What do you need?" asks the Doctor.
"I need a way out of this."
"Take these pills."

Nomads (Patient History)

The grass was never green enough
But they always said it was for the best.
Pack it all up, no time for goodbyes
It always hurt so bad, the weight on our chests.

Too many roads so many streets we've traveled.
Just when we thought we finally made it home.
Don't get too comfortable 'cos it's time to go.
The fork in the road reminds us that we're all alone.

Take me home.
Take me home.
Will we ever make it home?

I would have given it all away
To be able to anchor myself to just one place.
I was left here all alone
Staring out the window, tears streaming down my face.

Take me home.
Take me home.
Will we ever make it home?

Bandages (Patient History II)

The father hits me, cracks my jaw.
It doesn't hurt at all 'cos I'm used to it.
He has a gleam in his eye, death singing a lullabye,
And I'm used to it.

The bandages.
Take the bandages.
Take the fucking bandages!

The mother is too fucked up to notice anything at all and
The father feeds her addiction carefully,
Making sure she won't escape.
He smacks her up from time to time,
If she does anything out of line.
He'll kill us all if no one takes us away.

Take me away from here.
Take me away from here.

Could you get us away from him, take us away from him,
get us away from it all?
Will I live through the night, will it all be alright,
Can I hide under the bed?

Could you get us away from him, take us away from him,
get us away from it all?
Will I live through the night, will it all be alright,
Will I be rescued before I'm dead?

27:06 (Omega, Alpha)

You see them? They're all looking at you, and they're not liking what they're seeing.
They're thinking about killing you while you're sleeping. They look innocent, but everyone lies. You see them? They're all looking at you, and they're not liking what they're seeing.
They're thinking about killing you while you're sleeping. They look innocent, but everyone lies.
You see them? They're all looking at you, and they're not liking what they're seeing.
They're thinking about killing you while you're sleeping. They look innocent, but everyone lies.
